How do I change the sync time or frequency?
Updated 4 days ago
Contact us at [email protected] with the connector and the time or frequency you want, and we'll update it. Sync time and frequency aren't settings you can change in the dashboard.
What you can change
Start time: set the time the daily sync begins, for example so it finishes before your own processing job runs.
Frequency: Production connectors sync every 24 hours by default. We can shorten that to as often as every 6 hours, or keep it at 24 hours for customers who are concerned about API consumption.
Both are set per connector, so each customer can have their own schedule.
What to include in your request
The connector name or origin ID for each connector you want changed.
The start time you want, with its time zone.
The frequency you want, if it isn't every 24 hours.
Plan for how long a sync takes
The start time is when the sync begins, not when it finishes. If your own job reads data at a fixed time, ask for a start time early enough to cover the connector's full sync duration. You can see a connector's average sync time on its Sync tab or in the avg_sync_duration field from Get Connectors.
Instead of reading on a fixed schedule, start your job when the connector_synced webhook arrives. You'll never read data while a sync is still running, whatever time it finishes.
Checking the next scheduled sync
The next_sync_start_time field from Get Connectors shows when the next scheduled sync will start. Check it after we confirm a change. If it doesn't match what you asked for, let us know.
