Can I create connectors without the Magic Link?

Yes. Use the Embedded SDK to start the connection flow from your own application instead of sending a Magic Link. Your customer still enters their credentials in our connection flow: you can't send a customer's credentials to our API to create a connector directly.

How the embedded flow works

1. Your server creates a link token with POST /api/embedded/v1/link/create-link-token, passing the customer's org_name and origin_id, the category and the integration.

2. Your frontend opens the connection flow with that link token. Your customer authorizes access in an overlay inside your app.

3. When they finish, your frontend receives a temporary_token.

4. Your server exchanges it for a connector_token with GET /api/embedded/v1/connectors/connector_token/{temporary_token}.

5. Store the connector_token securely on your backend and use it for every API call for that customer.
